We held a small, informal launch off the regular calendar on August 5, 2006. Despite a steady wind from the southeast, there were some nice flights at this low-pressure event.
At the moment of staging, the booster drops away from William's Tres Two. One of the B6-0s appears to still be burning, while the upper stage motor, a D12-7, has not fully ignited yet and is not producing a visible flame. This is pretty much "that staging shot" I've been trying to take all these years! Photo by Greg Smith
