CIA-Rocketry  > Local Launches > CIA Launch at Dodds Park 8/5/2006
We held a small, informal launch off the regular calendar on August 5, 2006. Despite a steady wind from the southeast, there were some nice flights at this low-pressure event.

CIA-Rocketry > Stephen's Aerotech Initiator lifts off with an E9.  We had seen this rocket fly before with the same type of motor and thought it would be a successsful flight, even if a little underpowered (see the June 24, 2006 gallery).  Apparently, the higher wind today wasn't so good for this rocket and motor combination (see next photo)... Photo by Greg Smith
