Central Illinois Aerospace performed a demonstration rocket launch as one of the opening acts at the 2007 Chanute Air Festival in Rantoul, Illinois on August 11 and 12, 2007. An unfavorable wind direction forced us to shorten the demonstration after only four impressive and successful flights on Saturday, and grounded our Sunday performance altogether, but we stayed for the remainder of the festival and airshow to meet potential members, hand out literature and talk rockets. There were also some excellent vintage aircraft on display and in performance during the airshow.
